Connecting dialnote to Pipedrive keeps your sales pipeline updated automatically. When calls end, dialnote creates activities in Pipedrive with all the details—duration, direction, and call outcome. Your team can focus on selling instead of logging.
Connecting Your Pipedrive Account#
The setup takes about a minute:
- Go to Settings → CRM Integration
- Find Pipedrive and click Connect
- Pipedrive will ask you to authorize dialnote—click Allow and Install
- You'll be redirected back to dialnote with a "Connected" status
Required permissions
dialnote requests access to read and write contacts, deals, activities, and users. This allows syncing contact data and logging call activities to the right person records.
Once connected, you'll see the Pipedrive configuration page where you can manage contact sync and call logging settings.
Contact Sync#
The contact sync feature imports your Pipedrive persons (contacts) into dialnote automatically. When enabled, contacts sync every 6 hours so your team always sees the latest data.
To enable contact sync:
- Go to Settings → CRM Integration → Pipedrive
- Toggle Auto Contact Sync to on
The sync pulls these fields from Pipedrive:
- First name and last name
- Email address (primary email)
- Phone number (primary phone)
- Organization name
- Job title
Initial sync
The first sync may take a few minutes if you have thousands of persons in Pipedrive. After that, only new and updated contacts sync—keeping things fast.
Call Logging Options#
You can choose what call data gets logged to Pipedrive. Pick the option that works best for your team:
Sync call logs – Creates an activity in Pipedrive when a call ends. Includes call duration, direction (incoming/outgoing), and status (completed, missed, or failed). The activity is marked as done and linked to the matching person.
Sync call recordings – Creates an activity when a recording is ready. Includes everything above plus a link back to dialnote where you can listen to the recording and view the AI-generated summary.
Sync notes – When you add a note in dialnote's inbox, it also appears on the person record in Pipedrive. Keeps all your conversation context in one place.
Call recording required
To sync recordings to Pipedrive, you'll need call recording enabled on your phone numbers. Check Settings → Phone Numbers to turn it on.
Enabling Phone Numbers#
Not every phone number needs to sync with Pipedrive. You can pick which ones should log activities:
- Go to Settings → CRM Integration → Pipedrive
- Scroll to the Phone Numbers section
- Toggle on the numbers you want to sync
Calls from enabled numbers will create activities in Pipedrive. Calls from disabled numbers won't—handy if you have personal lines or numbers used for internal calls.
How Activities Appear in Pipedrive#
When dialnote logs a call, it creates a Call activity on the person record. You'll see:
- Subject – "Incoming Call" or "Outgoing Call"
- Duration – Formatted as minutes:seconds
- Status – Completed, No Answer, or Failed
- Note – Contains call details and a link to view the call in dialnote (if recording is enabled)
- Due date/time – The exact date and time of the call
The activity appears in the person's activity timeline, so your whole sales team can see the communication history. Activities are automatically marked as "done" since they represent completed calls.
Disconnecting Pipedrive#
If you need to remove the integration:
- Go to Settings → CRM Integration → Pipedrive
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm the action
This removes the OAuth connection and stops all syncing. Your existing contacts and logged activities in Pipedrive won't be deleted—the integration just won't add new data.
