What does "included minutes" mean?

Each plan includes a monthly pool of minutes, shared across your whole team and all your phone numbers. Domestic calls within your provisioned region count against the pool. When it runs out, calls keep working — they draw from your wallet at the per-country rate published on /rates, not cut off.

Each time you pay, dialnote adds a fixed monthly credit to your wallet — $2.50 on Solo, $5 on Team, $12 on Business, and $25 on Pro, in USD on every plan and region. Use it for AI agent minutes, international calls, and any minutes beyond your included pool. You can top it up manually anytime.

How does annual billing work?

Switch to annual and save 20% off the monthly rate, billed upfront once a year. You can cancel anytime but no refunds are issued for the remaining period — access continues until your paid period ends.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. Plan upgrades apply pro-rata immediately. Downgrades are handled by support and take effect at the next billing cycle. Extra phone numbers are billed at the full monthly price when added (no proration); removing a number takes effect at the next cycle.

International calls and any usage beyond your included minutes draw from your wallet balance. Per-country rates are published at /rates. Top up the wallet any time — calls never cut off just because the included pool runs out.

How many texts do I get?

Team includes 750 text segments a month, Business 1,500, and Pro 2,500, in the US and Canada, pooled across your whole team and counted on texts you send and receive. One segment is 160 characters. Texting starts on Team: Solo doesn't include it, though a Solo number still receives texts into your inbox. The free trial and UK plans can text but don't get a pool, so those draw from your wallet. Once a pool runs out, texting keeps working and draws from your wallet at the rate for that country, listed on /rates. Texts that fail to deliver aren't charged.

Can I send texts on the Solo plan?

No. Texting starts on Team. Solo is a calling plan: your number still receives texts and they land in your inbox, but you can't send from it. The reason is the carrier fee, not us. Sending from a US local number needs A2P 10DLC registration, which costs $19.50 once plus $2 a month, so on a $19/mo plan the fee to switch texting on costs more than the plan. If you need to text, Team at $49/mo includes 750 segments a month and unlimited users.

Do I have to pay to text from a US number?

US carriers require businesses to register before sending texts from a US local number, and they charge for it. dialnote handles the registration in the app, and the fees are $19.50 one time per campaign registration plus $2 a month for each active campaign, taken from your wallet, so your monthly credit usually covers the ongoing part. The fees are non-refundable because carriers charge for every review attempt, even one they reject. Canadian and UK numbers don't need this, and a US number can receive texts without it. Registration needs a plan that includes texting, so it starts on Team.

What counts as a text segment?

Carriers bill by segment, not by message. A plain text up to 160 characters is one segment. Add an emoji or a curly quote and the limit drops to 70. A 400-character text is three. We count the same way carriers bill us, so what you use matches what we pay. Picture messages, texts from a toll-free number, and international texts draw from your wallet rather than the pool.
