WhatsApp Business

WhatsApp Business messaging is coming to dialnote. When it launches, you'll be able to send and receive WhatsApp messages right alongside your SMS conversations — all from the same inbox.

This page covers what's planned, which plans will include it, and how to get notified when it's available.

What's Coming#

dialnote's messaging system is built on a channel-agnostic architecture. That means WhatsApp will plug directly into your existing inbox — no separate app, no separate workflow. Here's what you can expect:

  • Unified inbox — WhatsApp conversations will appear alongside your SMS and call history, organized by contact
  • AI message agents — The same AI bots you use for SMS auto-replies will work with WhatsApp too
  • Rich media support — Send and receive images, documents, audio, and video through WhatsApp
  • Auto-replies — Set up automatic WhatsApp responses for business hours and after-hours, just like SMS
  • Canned responses — Use your saved message templates across both SMS and WhatsApp channels

How It'll Work#

Once WhatsApp is live, connecting it will follow a straightforward setup:

  1. Connect your WhatsApp Business account — Link your verified WhatsApp Business number through the integrations settings
  2. Assign to a phone number — Map the WhatsApp channel to one of your dialnote phone numbers so conversations stay grouped
  3. Start messaging — Send and receive WhatsApp messages from your inbox, desktop app, or mobile app

Your team won't need to learn a new interface. WhatsApp messages will show up in the same conversation timeline where you already see calls, SMS, and notes.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Will WhatsApp messages count toward my SMS usage? No. WhatsApp messaging will have its own pricing, separate from SMS. Details will be shared closer to launch.

Can I use the same phone number for SMS and WhatsApp? Yes — dialnote's channel system lets you link multiple messaging channels to a single phone number. Your contacts will see one consistent number whether they text or WhatsApp you.

Will WhatsApp work on the mobile app? Yes. WhatsApp conversations will be available on both the desktop and mobile apps, just like SMS is today.
