Your dialnote wallet is a prepaid balance that covers pay-per-use costs like calling minutes, AI agent usage, and SMS. Think of it like a calling card — you add funds, and they're drawn down as you use the service.
You'll find your wallet in Settings → Billing, right below your subscription details.
How the Wallet Works#
Every time you make a call, run an AI agent conversation, or send an SMS, dialnote deducts the cost from your wallet balance. Your dashboard shows your current balance and an estimate of how many calling minutes you've got left at the current rate.
Here's what gets charged to your wallet:
- Calling minutes — deducted based on call duration
- AI agent usage — charged at $0.89/minute for overage beyond your included 30 minutes (with the AI Agent addon)
- SMS messages — deducted per message sent
Zero balance = suspended calls
If your wallet balance hits $0, dialnote will suspend outbound calling until you recharge. Inbound calls may also be time-limited when your balance drops below a certain threshold. Set up auto-recharge to avoid interruptions.
Recharging Your Wallet#
Click the Recharge button on your wallet card to add funds. You can pick from preset amounts ($10, $25, $50, $100) or enter a custom amount between $1 and $1,000.
After you select an amount, a payment window opens where you complete the transaction using the payment method on file. Once the payment is confirmed, your balance updates right away.
Auto-Recharge#
Don't want to worry about running out of funds? Turn on auto-recharge and dialnote will top up your wallet automatically when it dips below a threshold you set.
To configure it:
- Go to Settings → Billing → Wallet Settings
- Toggle Auto-recharge on
- Set the Recharge when below amount (e.g., $5.00)
- Set the Recharge amount (e.g., $25.00)
- Click Save Settings
Now, whenever your balance falls below $5, dialnote will automatically add $25 using your payment method on file.
Pro tip
If you're running multiple AI agents or have a high call volume, set your auto-recharge threshold higher — something like $20 or $50. This gives you a bigger buffer so calls won't get interrupted during busy periods.
Low Balance Alerts#
You can also set up email alerts that let you know when your balance is getting low. This is useful even if you've got auto-recharge on — it gives you visibility into spending patterns.
- Go to Settings → Billing → Wallet Settings
- Toggle Low balance alerts on
- Set the threshold (e.g., alert when below $10.00)
- Click Save Settings
Tracking Usage#
Your wallet keeps a full transaction history. Each entry shows:
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Date | When the transaction happened |
| Type | Recharge, Call, AI Agent, SMS, Adjustment, or Refund |
| Description | Details about what the charge was for |
| Amount | How much was added (green) or deducted (red) |
| Balance After | Your wallet balance after this transaction |
Credits (recharges, refunds) show in green with a + sign. Debits (calls, AI usage, SMS) show in red with a - sign. You can scroll through your full history and load more transactions as needed.
